SACD Update -- November 2002

The members of the Staff Advisory Committee to the Dean are excited to share with you an update of various committee activities.

Currently committee members are working on agenda items for our upcoming quarterly meeting with Dean Steele, scheduled for December 11th. We plan to discuss the last College-wide staff meeting as well as plans for the Spring College-wide staff meeting. We will also discuss ways to ensure that College employees are provided with the most complete and up to date information concerning the east sub campus (Lot 80) construction project. During our last SACD meeting Neal Vines, Director of Information and Communication Technologies, presented an overview of the Enterprise system. This was a very exciting opportunity and a program well worth looking into. This program offers the opportunity to lease a computer package consisting of a Dell computer and software. Both are then supported by the Collegeís ICT unit. All software would be loaded and supported by ICT. It is also set up to run seamlessly with the Universityís computer networks. Please contact ICT or your SACD representative if you would like more information.

Over the next few months committee members will be hard at work revising and updating our website. Stay tuned for more information on a new and improved website.
